Տխուր մի պահ

Խաւարի մէջ ինկած, մի նշան սիրոյ
տեսիլք ի խորքն, ի մի ուրիշ աշխարհ
Միթէ երա՞զ էր սա
նորէն կը լսեմ արուեստագէտին ձայնը
‘Մարդկային տենչ, անսահման սէր, ես սա է որ կը փնտռեմ’

Իմ կանչերու մէջ դէպի երկինք ուղղուած
չկայ մի նշոյլ գէշութեան, ամպերը վկայ
Իսկական կեանքի խանդաւառութեամբն
ինկած եմ քո ձեռքերու մէջ
բայց միշտ տալով հարց - կաշկանդումներն այս ինչո՞ւ

Թշուառութիւններն մեր բոլոր, մարդասպանութիւններ
առեւանգումներն վասն ինչի՞
Կեանքի օրէնքն է սա արդեօ՞ք
վերստին մի խաւար պատեց, շուրջս մարդկային ձայներ թրթռուն
երկնքի լույսերն յանկարծակի նորէն խափանուեց

Արեւն ինքն ալ չգիտէ կարծես, թէ ինչպէ՞ս դարմանէ
ցաւերն այս մարդկային
Կարծես գէշն կը ծնի, հազիւ լոյսն քուն կը մտնէ
կեանքն անորոշութեան մէջ ձգելով, սրտեր ցաւցնելով
նա յոյսեր կը խորտակէ - նորէն կը լսեմ իր ձայնը

Լքեալ մի մանկայ նման, սէր կը փնտռեմ որ շնչեմ
իսկական մի ընկեր գտնեմ, որ կեանքն վայելեմ
Առանց սիրոյ ես ալ ի՞նչ ընեմ
խաւարի մէջ կորած հոգիս տխուր, խնդրեմ ինձ ըսէք
ես ալ այս կեանքէն ինչպէ՞ս համ առնեմ

A sad moment

Fallen into darkness, a sign of love
A view into the abyss, into another world
Was it a dream?
Again I hear the artist’s voice
“Human passion, boundless love, this is what I pursue”

In my calls to heaven
there is not a shade of malice - witness: the clouds
With true life’s excitement
I entrust myself to you
but always posing the question – these constrictions,

All our miseries, murders
kindnappings, what for?
Is this then what life is about?
again darkness abounded, around me human voices flutter
the lights of heaven were suddenly impeded again

The sun itself doesn’t know, it seems, how to cure
those human sufferings
It looks like evil is born, soon after the light fades
throwing life into confusion, causing heartache
it wrecks hopes – I hear his voice again

Like an abandoned child, I look for love to breathe
to find a true companion, to enjoy life
Without love, what shall I do?
my sad heart, lost in darkness, please tell me
how can I savour this life?
